Following their announcement made in August 2024, LMIA applications under the low-wage stream would no longer be processed for regions with an employment rate of 6% or higher.
The recent update shows which regions will not process low-wage LMIAs between April 4 and July 10, 2025.
This is a temporary change that will run until July 10, 2025 and we can expect a new list July 11.
